Red Sea Wind Energy S.A.E. is proud to announce the successful attainment of financial close for the monumental 500MW Red Sea Windfarm, marked by an elegant gala dinner held in Cairo.
We are delighted to collaborate with our esteemed partners, Orascom, Toyota Tsusho Group, Eurus Energy Holdings, and ENGIE, as we embark on the development of Africa's largest wind farm. Together, we aim to be the preferred choice for fostering net-zero ambitions across Africa, empowering our stakeholders to achieve their sustainability goals.
With great anticipation, our team eagerly looks forward to commemorating numerous upcoming milestones on our journey toward full commercial operation in 2025.
The wind farm's tremendous capacity will generate clean energy to power approximately 800,000 Egyptian households.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, the Minister of International Cooperation, along with our invaluable stakeholders and lenders. Among the notable attendees was Koji Tsuchimoto from Eurus Energy Europe B.V., Masayuki Tanimoto from Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Japanese Ambassador Oka Hiroshi, Anthony Watson, Osama Bishai, Heike Harmgart, EU Ambassador Christian Holler-Berger, Michel Oldenburg, Khaled El Degwy, Hidenobu Teramura, Saito Hidenori from Toyota Tsusho Group, Hans Bruins, Jeroen Vergote, and Ellen Liefkens.
