The consortium of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Orascom Construction, ENGIE and Eurus Energy, together with the Ministry of Electricity, held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new 500 MW Build-Own-Operate Wind Farm in Ras Ghareb, Egypt.
Dr. Mohamed Shaker, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, attended the ceremony. Along with representatives from the Ministry of Electricity, the ambassadors of France and Japan, and consortium members.
This project expands on the consortium's achievements in establishing the Ras Ghareb Wind Energy wind farm, Egypt's first BOO wind farm, operational since October 2019.
